A Look at the Dyson 360 Eye Robot Vacuum

Robot vacuum cleaners might still be novelty items, but that hasn't stopped Dyson from venturing into the market. True to form, Dyson has improved upon existing technology and meticulously engineered new features that will set its 360 Eye™ robot vacuum apart from the competition.

The Dyson 360 Eye™robot vacuum cleaner is named for what is indisputably its most innovative feature: the panoramic camera on its hood. This camera takes 30 images per second and utilizes probability theory, trigonometry, geometry, and a series of complex algorithms to map its location in relation to walls, corners, and furniture. This smart robot vacuum can also use this camera to gauge its current position, to see where it has already cleaned, and to recognize where it has yet to go.

In engineering this robot vacuum, Dyson has designed and implemented its smallest Radial Cyclone Technology™ setupthus far. Each of the eight cyclones in this system can generate centrifugal force of up to 50,000 g to separate even small pollen and mold spores from the air and trap them in its dustbin. (While we're on the topic, the dustbin is made from durable poly-carbonate, one of the main components of riot shields.) This is great news for allergy and asthma sufferers, or for anyone who wants to ensure that the air in their home is as clean as possible.

If you dread vacuuming, or if you simply don't like the noise that accompanies typical vacuum cleaners, Dyson has a solution for you. This remarkable robot vacuum can be controlled using the Dyson Link smartphone app. Wherever you are, you'll be able to schedule a cleaning session, monitor the vacuum's progress, view a cleaning map, or turn the power on or off. This handy app will also let you access troubleshooting guides and automatically download software updates. With this app installed on your phone, you'll no longer have to be home to clean your floors. This app will be available for both Apple and Android smartphones when the 360 Eye™ robot becomes available.

The 360 Eye™ is not just Dyson's first robot vacuum cleaner; it is also the first robot vacuum cleaner with a digital motor. This motor spins at up to 78,000 rpm to provide unrivaled suction power for thorough cleaning of any floor surface. The brushroll on this vacuum's underside spans the entire width of the unit, and is equipped with two types of bristles for cleaning both carpeting and bare floors.

If you're concerned that this vacuum might stranded during cleaning, worry not. Instead of conventional wheels, the 360 Eye™ rolls merrily along on two continuous rubber tank tracks that ensure easy maneuverability and maximum traction on different floor types. These tank tracks also eliminate the risk of this vacuum cleaner getting trapped in carpets or being thrown off course by small obstacles.

The Dyson 360 Eye™ robot vacuum symbolizes Dyson's ongoing commitment to innovation and forward thinking. If you have been considering a robot vacuum cleaner, or if you are as fascinated with new vacuum cleaner innovations as we are, the 360 Eye™ is certainly one to watch.

We are eagerly awaiting this vacuum's 2016 release in the United States. The Dyson Eye 360™ is currently available in Japan, where it sells for approximately $1,200 USD.
