A New Chapter: NuTone, Broan, and Venmar Transition to Kenmore
We are entering an exciting new phase for our central vacuum product lines. Following the conclusion of a three-year agreement governing the Venmar, Broan, and NuTone brands, we are transitioning into a long-term partnership with Kenmore. This shift consolidates several recognized names under a single, trusted brand that has been a household staple since 1913.
What Is Changing?
The transition brings a fresh visual identity and a simplified product offering. While multiple brands previously had their own distinct styles, the new Kenmore series will adopt NuTone’s iconic red as the signature color for all units to ensure a smooth transition for existing customers.
Key changes include:
- New Visual Identity: Units will feature the recognized Kenmore logo and redesigned packaging.
- Updated Logistics: There will be new item numbers and UPC codes for retailers to integrate into their systems.
- Simplified Warranty: Customers will benefit from a more straightforward warranty process.
What Remains the Same?
While the branding is evolving, the core performance and technical reliability of the units remain unchanged. Customers can expect the same high standards they have grown to trust from the previous product lines.
- Compatibility: The new Kenmore units are fully compatible with existing parts and accessories.
- Maintenance and Support: After-sales service remains attentive to customer needs, and the consolidation will actually make it easier to access replacement parts through a single product line.
- Quiet Operation: The units continue to feature metal housing and anti-vibration mounts to minimize operating noise without the need for a muffler.
The New Kenmore Lineup
The upcoming series, scheduled for launch in August 2026, offers three distinct formats tailored to different home sizes and cleaning needs:
- Kenmore K550 (Compact): Designed for surfaces up to 4,000 ft², this model provides 550 Air Watts (AW) of power and uses a disposable bag system.
- Kenmore K650 (Hybrid): A versatile 650 AW model for homes up to 7,000 ft². Its hybrid design allows for use with or without a dust bag and features a permanent self-cleaning HEPA filter.
- Kenmore K695 (High Performance): The ultimate cleaning solution for up to 9,000 ft², delivering 695 AW. Like the K650, it features a hybrid design and HEPA filtration, which captures 99.97% of particles as small as 0.3 microns.
All models are designed with the "Swap and Go" multi-directional air inlet, making it easier than ever to replace an old unit by allowing the intake to align with existing piping from either side.
Transition Timeline
The transition is already underway, with the full launch of the Kenmore series arriving in August 2026. Retailers are currently planning for the sell-off of existing Venmar, Broan, and NuTone inventory to make room for the new Kenmore models and visuals.
