Dyson V6 Motorhead Product Review

Dyson V6 Motorhead Product Review

For this product review, we took the Dyson V6 Motorhead Cordless Vacuum Cleaner for a spin around our front lobby and break room. Keep reading below to here more about what we thought.

Dyson V6 Motorhead
Upon first glance, the Dyson V6 Motorhead is quite an eye catcher. With a neon pink finish covering the telescopic aluminum wand, and bright orange bristles, you can generate a long list of compliments from your friends. After we finished fawning, we pressed the red power button on the large trigger-shaped handle to turn on the vacuum. Instantly, we were bestowed with powerful suction that lasted throughout our twenty-minute trial.

The first thing we did was vacuum up some spilled cheerios and fall leaves. With a suction power of 100 air watts and a motor that spins up to 110,000 rpm, the cheerios disappeared in a matter of seconds. As for the fall leaves, we decided to switch to boost mode by pressing the clear-coated MAX button on the motor head. This gave us 6 minutes of extra powerful suction. To stop boost mode, we took our thumb off the MAX button and the suction returned to normal.
After our front lobby experiment, we took our Dyson V6 Motorhead to the break room to see how it got along with our fold-up table. We are proud to say that they are friends! Dyson's ball technology allowed us to effortlessly clean around table legs. At one point, we decided to forgo the power head and operate the Dyson V6 Motorhead as a handheld. To do this, we gently pulled on the telescopic wand to release it from its clamp and went over to the docking station to retrieve the crevice tool. Once attached, we picked a corner and pulled the trigger.

Once we were done with our experiments, we sat back and thought for a moment about how and why the suction was so powerful in comparison to other vacuum cleaners we tested. The answer lies in Dyson's patented Two-Tier Cyclone technology. To increase suction, you stack fifteen small cyclones across two tiers. This makes the centrifugal forces responsible for separating dirt and debris from the air stream extremely powerful. As a result, dirt and debris as small as 0.5 microns in size get spun directly into the 0.105 gallon dust cup.

Overall, the Dyson V6 Motorhead exceeded our expectations. We were very pleased with its lightweight design, direct-drive cleaner head, and powerful cyclone technology.
