Another nifty feature of this Electrolux model is the silver brushroll on/off switch located on the ergonomic handle. For this review, we tested the Electrolux EL4335A on wall-to-wall carpet in our lobby and white ceramic tile that lines the women's bathroom. With that said, this function certainly came in handy as we transitioned to and from each surface. The Brushroll ON switch is symbolized with a vertical bar, and the Brushroll OFF switch is demarcated with a simple circle. To vacuum carpet, make sure the brushroll is always on and manually adjust the height setting to match the pile height.
One very impressive attachment that comes with this vacuum is the new Electrolux El30B power nozzle. With the tap of the toe you can adjust the height to the carpet surface you're cleaning, release the handle, and clean the brush roll after use. These features certainly came in handy as I was transitioning from low to medium pile carpet. In case you lose track of which height setting you're on, this power nozzle has four orange indicator lights to keep you in check. Last but not least, the Electrolux EL30B power nozzle has two soft, non-marring rubberized wheels that work to prevent unwanted dings to your delicate bare floor surfaces.
Secondary attachments include a bare floor brush, on-board Electrolux EL4335A crevice tool, and on-board Electrolux EL4335A dusting brush. The latter two items are conveniently stored on the underside of Electrolux's ergonomic handle. Both attach to the end of the telescopic wand and can be used to clean underneath beds or dust furniture. For attachments, eVacuumStore recommends that you adjust to a lower suction setting then what would typically be used to clean pile carpet. The suction control dial can be found directly below the black carry handle of this model. Akin to a battery, a minus sign prompts you to turn the dial to the left to decrease suction, and the plus sign prompts you to turn the dial to the right to increase suction.
To power off your vacuum, press the gray button on the body of the canister. Its symbol is a snazzy combination of the brushroll on/off switch. To rewind the 21-foot power cord, press the automatic cord rewind control opposite the power button. To reach your Electrolux EL4335A Washable HEPA filter, pull forward on the two black tabs found on the underside of the canister vacuum. Rinse under cold water and let it sit out for 24 hours before placing it back inside. The Electrolux EL4335A Motor Filter can be found behind the dust cup. Same as with the exhaust filter, rinse under cold water and let it dry for 24 hours before fitting it back into the canister. It's recommended that you wash this filter every 3 months and that you wash the former every 6 to 12 months.
