eVacuumStore is pleased to introduce to you the Eureka Quick Up Cordless 96H vacuum. This nifty machine is great for picking up last-minute messes. Gift it to your son or daughter whose away at college or to your elderly mother who dreams of owning a lightweight vacuum. Who knows, you may just want to treat yourself after reading our product review.
To start off, the Eureka 96H is both lightweight and versatile with a measly product weight of four pounds and uncanny ability to convert itself from a handheld to a stick and vice-versa. Traditional in design, the __ ft handle tube and ergonomic grip is attached to the main body via old-fashioned handy-work. To start, use the included two-part bolt to fasten the handle grip and tube together. Next, insert the free end of the handle tube inside a small hole located on top of the cleaner. When you wish to convert back to a handheld, simply pull back on the yellow lock button and the tube should disconnect from the cleaner.

When it was time to start vacuuming, our focus veered to the center of the cleaner where a yellow selector sits just below the black carry handle. To turn on the vacuum motor, push the selector one step forward and the Eureka 96H will spring to life. This setting is ideal for cleaning bare floor surfaces. After all, you don't want a rotating bristle brushroll to create unwanted scuff marks. If you wish to vacuum pile carpet, push the selector forward once more, and the brushroll will start to spin. To switch between these settings, simply push the selector forwards and back. Best of all, the Eureka 96H uses words as opposed to ambiguous graphics to differentiate between settings, which leaves little to no room for human error. Overall, this Eureka cordless vacuum worked well on all floor types and even spiffed up a few of our dusty counter tops!

When we were finished vacuuming, we could visibly see how much debris was collected inside the dust cup and decided it was a good idea to empty it out. To separate the dust cup assembly from the handheld, simply pull back on the black latch located below the yellow selector. Next, pull out the dust cup filter and empty the contents into a trash bin or barrel. You may even take things a step further by washing the dust cup and Eureka 96H filter under warm water. If you go the extra mile, make sure to air dry both components thoroughly before re-inserting back into the cleaner.

Lastly, this free-standing unit has a 6 volt battery that should be charged after each use. When plugged in, two red lights to the side of the handheld will illuminate. The one closest to the handheld will fade in and out to indicate it's charging. The steady red light to the right of it indicates that the charging unit has been plugged in. The charging unit is a separate piece that must be attached to the back of the Eureka Quick Up Cordless 96H via some easily identifiable silver notches. From there, this unit should take anywhere between 14 and 16 hours to charge. Alternatively, you my choose to remove the battery from the top of the handheld and place inside the holder equipped with the blinking and steady red lights. When charging is complete, the blinking light will cease, and you may begin to vacuum once again.
