Eureka vs Bissell

Eureka vs Bissell

You had a great time reading part 3. Now it's time for part 4! It's the ultimate showdown between Eureka and Bissell.

It's no secret that Eureka and Bissell have a great reputation. Eureka models are fitted with patented AirSpeed or SuctionSeal technology while Bissell utilizes a dual edge cleaning system and has a furniture guard. Overall, both brands have similar specs and features, but which one has the edge? Well, you'll have to read on to find out!

Bissell's Dual Edge Cleaning System

Select Bissell upright models come equipped with extra brushes and suction along the sides of the vacuum so you can quickly sweep dirt and debris away from baseboards and into your vacuum cleaner. The Bissell Cleanview 1334, Bissell CleanView 3918, and Bissell AeroSwift 1009K are just a few examples of Bissell upright models fitted with this cleaning system.

Eureka's AirSpeed Technology

Eureka AirSpeed TechnologyEureka models are engineered with two wide tubes that create a direct path for air to flow from the floor to the dust cup. With limited bends and turns, airflow is guaranteed to be powerful, fast and never obstructed. Some models fitted with this technology include the Eureka AS ONE Pet AS2130A, Eureka AirSpeed EXACT Reach AS3008A, and the Eureka AirSpeed ABS AS1051A.

Bissell’s Furniture Guard and On/Off Brushroll Switch

A furniture guard (or soft bumper) fits around your vacuum motorhead to protect your furniture from unwanted scuffs and dents. Similarly, the on/off brushroll switch provides the same protection for your bare floor surfaces. In unison, both of these features are designed to give Bissell owners an extra peace of mind when vacuuming. To see an example, check out the Bissell CleanView Complete Pet.

Eureka SuctionSeal Technology

This technology concentrates the airflow so you can agitate your high pile carpets for a deep clean. Only a limited number of Eureka models are fitted with this technology. These include the Eureka AirSpeed Ultra AS4008A and the Eureka Suction Seal PET AS3104A.

This was the closest race to date. Both models have a 1 to 3 year warranty, a cyclonic cleaning system, a draw of 10 to 12 motor amps, and a cleaning path between 13 and 15 feet. However, what puts the Bissell ahead of the Eureka is the furniture guard and on/off brushroll switch. These two features are vital to keeping your bare floors and tables free from unwanted scuff marks. Sometimes it’s the seemingly small details that make a big difference in vacuuming.
