SEBO's Sealed S-Class Hospital Grade Filtration
SEBO's infamous S-Class hospital grade filtration absorbs 99.9% of particles down to 0.3 microns in size. This allows for cool, clean air to pass through the motor and increase the overall life expectancy of the SEBO vacuum. Every vacuum sold by SEBO is fitted with this type of filtration, but the same cannot be said for Miele. Instead, Miele vacuums are fitted with interchangeable Active AirClean or HEPA filters. These filters work well and perform similarly to the SEBO, but HEPA filters only capture 99.97% of particles as opposed to 99.9%. This .02% difference gives the SEBO slightly better filtration than the Miele.
Miele's Suction Control Settings

SEBO's Easy Removable Brushroll

Miele's Two Motor System
Many Miele upright and canister vacuum cleaners have two motor systems. The first motor creates the suction while the second agitates and sweeps carpet to remove the toughest dirt and grime. Only the SEBO Airbelt K3 canister, SEBO Felix, and the SEBO Airbelt D4 canister have two motor systems. Some Miele models that have a two motor system include the Miele Classic C1 Delphi, Miele Classic C1 Titan, Miele Compact C2 Topaz, Miele Complete C3 Kona, Miele Complete C3 Marin, Miele Complete C3 Brilliant, Miele Home Care and the Miele Complete C3 Cat and Dog.
SEBO's Incorrect Height Setting Indicator
All SEBO vacuums, except for the X4/X5 series which has automatic height adjustment, come with an incorrect height setting indicator. This orange light will illuminate on the SEBO ET-1 or SEBO ET-2 power nozzle when the four-position height adjustment setting is not ideal for the surface your vacuuming. For example, a low-pile carpet needs a height adjustment setting of 2 or under for carpet agitation. If the brushroll is too high, your low-pile carpet won't receive the clean it needs. On the other hand, if you're on high-pile carpet then a setting of 2 or under is going to be too low. You would need to readjust to the highest setting for adequate suction.
Miele's Headlight for Upright
One handy feature on some of Miele's upright models is a headlight on the motor head. This allows you to detect tiny dirt particles that cannot be seen under regular light. Moreover, you can always choose to let the headlight light your path and clean in the dark. The Miele upright models that have a headlight include the Miele Dynamic U1 Cat & Dog, Miele Dynamic U1 Jazz, and the Miele Dynamic U1 AutoEco. For the canister, the Miele SEB228 and SEB236 power heads have headlights. The latter has an LED headlight, but the former does not.
SEBO's Operating Radius
SEBO gives customers a very generous operating radius on their canister vacuums. SEBO Airbelt D canisters have a cleaning range of 52 ft while the Airbelt K series has a cleaning range of 37 ft. Miele canisters operating radius ranges from 29 to 36 ft.
So which brand is better? This time, it's a draw. Both brands have some incredible features, which makes it hard to pick out a winner.
