How to Change Miele Filters

Miele's new design HEPA HA50 AirClean filter is designed for S4000, S5000, S6000 and S8000 series canister vacuums. This new filter captures and removes 99.95% of particles as small as 0.1 microns. This filter, along with the Miele HA30 HEPA filter, is highly recommended for homeowners who suffer from allergies or asthma. The increase in vacuum performance is due in part to the removal of the carbon layer. This design change ultimately enhances vacuum performance by enhancing the vacuum's airflow.

Aside from the improvement in performance, this new design also features a time sensitive indicator strip that alerts users when it is time to replace their filter. These filters typically must be replaced once-a-year. This filter replaces the old SF-AH50 design.

I received these filters very quickly and in good condition. They are original Miele filters and are excellent for removing allergens from the vacuum exhaust. EVacuumStore is an excellent company.

These filters have a tab you can press to see the life of the filter remaining. This tab is depressed with your thumb and is located on the front left of the filter as it is installed. I do not see this changing at all, if I press on the tab noting happens whether the filter is new or older. Any thought or suggestions? But the filter does seem to perform okay, I do not have any metering devices to see the scientific performance.
