To protect the motor from overheating, this vacuum has a thermostat that shuts the vacuum motor off automatically if it begins to overheat. If this happens, turn off the switch and unplug the vacuum cleaner. Once the motor cools off (approximately 30 minutes), the thermostat will allow the vacuum to start running again.
While it’s cooling off, check the hose, bag, and filter. A clogged hose, full bag, or dirty filter can cause the motor to overheat. If the vacuum doesn’t operate again after 30 minutes of cool-off time, call a service station for assistance.
To adjust the length of the telescoping wand, hold the adjustment collar in one hand while pulling or pushing the wand with the other hand until you’ve reached the desired length.
To use accessories, slip the circular end of the tool onto the end of the hose handle and twist slightly to secure. If additional reach is needed, place a wand on the hose handle first.
The crevice tool is designed for crevices, corners, baseboards, and between cushions. The upholstery nozzle works well for curtains, drapes, cushions, and fabrics. The dusting brush can tackle furniture, blinds, books, lampshades, and shelves.
