When you try out the Bissell 2306 Crosswave pet vacuum, you may exclaim, “They’ve thought of everything!” This is because the Bissell vacuum and wash doesn’t just deal with basic needs that an average user would look for: they go above and beyond by providing features such as the pet hair strainer and a brushroll that can handle up to 8 inches of hair.

This Bissell wet dry vacuum offers multi-surface cleaning, effectively vacuuming as it washes sealed wood floors, laminate, linoleum, rubber floor mats, pressed wood floors, area rugs, and carpets with ease. It allows you to vacuum and wash at the same time, making it an effective time saver as well. Since it’s a pet product, you can count on it to clean up fur and hair (up to 8 inches) without tangling the brushroll or having hair-wrap issues.

The Bissell Crosswave Pet Pro comes with a PET multi-surface formula that reduces odors with a pleasant, Febreze scent, and since the machine features two-tank technology, you never have to worry about dirty water being sloshed back over your floors. The first tank holds the clean water and the second tank holds the dirty water that is sucked back into the vacuum until you empty it. To make the emptying process easier, Bissell includes a pet hair strainer feature to separate pet hair and other large debris from the liquid. This allows for quicker cleanup and a reduced chance of your sink becoming clogged.

With every Bissell Crosswave purchase, you get two tangle-free brushrolls, two 8-ounce PET Multi-Surface with Febreze formulas, and a docking station. The docking station is a useful way to allow the brushroll to dry and keep moisture off your floors. The docking station is also a convenient place to manually rinse brushrolls at the end of cleaning. This product works in both wet and dry modes, although it performs better as a wet vacuum and shouldn’t be used exclusively for dry vacuuming for extended periods of time.

The water tank has a 28 oz capacity and allows you to add the PET formula or other formulas to the tank. There are other cleaning products that will work with the Bissell Crosswave in addition to the PET multi-surface formula if desired, including their regular multi-surface formula, wood floor formula, and area rug formula. It also has a dirt cup capacity of 14.5 oz.

To fill the clean water tank on the back of the machine, lift the tank straight up to remove it, and then unscrew the cap from the clean water tank. There are two measuring volumes on the clean water tank depending on the amount of space you’d like to clean. For large area cleaning (up to 700 square feet), fill the formula tank with warm tap water to the second water fill line, then add formula to the second formula fill line.

For small area cleaning (under 350 square feet), fill the formula tank with warm water up to the first water fill line and add formula to the first formula fill line. Screw the cap back onto the clean water tank and align the tank with the grooves on the back of the machine. Slide the tank into place until you hear a click. Bissell recommends that you only use warm water (140 degrees maximum) for the tank. Do not use boiling water or heat the water or the tank in the microwave.
