Description
The Bissell Refresh manual sweeper is a great tool for quick sweeping and convenient cleaning on many surfaces, including area rugs, low pile carpet, and hard floors. Since there’s no motor, this carpet floor sweeper provides a natural, cordless clean that doesn’t require batteries or the hassle of cords. It’s easy to store, too, thanks to the hanging storage loop on the handle and lay-flat design. It’s got dual-bottom empty dirt bins that make it easy to empty, along with a removable brush roll for quick and simple maintenance.
To assemble your Refresh, fit the threaded handle sections together and screw tightly until they’re secure. Screw the handle grip on the threaded end of the handle. To use the manual sweeper, simply push it forward and backward, as you would a vacuum. For best results, ensure that the front of the sweeper is facing forward while you use it. To empty the dirt bins, hold the sweeper over a trash bin and press the bottom of each dirt bin a the points indicated by the “push” arrows.
For best performance, keep the brushes and bearings clean of hair, threads, and other debris. The brush roll on this sweeper is removable for easier brush cleaning. Locate the front of the sweeper and position it so that the front is on top, and the grey end of the brush roll is on the right side. Locate the small tabs on both dirt bins and lift the tabs slightly. Push outward so that they rest on the outer edge of the bumper. This will ensure that the dirt bins remain in place while you remove the brush roll. Grip the left side of the brush roll and push the right end (the grey end) inward while lifting the left side up and out.
To replace the brush roll, match the right end of the brush roll (grey end) with the right side of the sweeper, ensuring that the front of the sweeper is on top). Gripping the left side of the brush, fit the right end of the brush in place and then fit the left end into place. Lift both dirt bins slightly to release the tabs. The sweeper won’t function properly if the tabs aren’t released before use.
