There's the Direct Connect connection where the wiring to power the carpet nozzle is integrated into the wall connection, and there's also a Pig Tail connection, which requires you to use an auxiliary power cord that connects from the end of the hose into a standard wall outlet. The model number I needed was no longer available so i was going by the picture on the web site. I was told if it doesn’t work, send it back for a refund. However a small modification to a foam seal made it work. Im happy.
