Electrolux Diamond Jubilee, Olympia, Super J Motor

My original motor was overheating and cutting out after about 30 seconds. It was too expensive to get it repaired and some shops told me Electrolux no longer manufactured the motor. The one I purchased works great. It may have a little different sound but who cares the vacuum works great. The website provided instructions on how to get the old motor out. Took about 10 days to get the motor.

it doesnt look the same as original, but dont worry! the plastic pipe and rubber fitting are not spare parts; they are used to adapt the different motor. slip the rubber over the plastic pipe, and insert the plastic pipe into the machine to the bag screen, then put motor in. worked great!

This one stage system works fine. My original two stage was a bit quieter. Should expect that difference from two stage to one stage.

I have an old Super J Electrolux. It was starting to overheat and I was told by the Electrolux dealer that the motor was shot but that Electrolux no longer offered a replacement. I could but a new Electrolux from him which, with the trade-in, would only cost me $900. I said no thanks and then found that I could order the replacement motor from you for $115. I received it within a few days, installed the new motor and now have a usable refurbed Super J and almost $800 extra in my pocket. Thanks a bunch!
