Electrolux VM3 Motor

Straight forward installation. Works great. I have above average experience working on this unit.

Working perfectly and the install was easy. The installation instructions on evacuee about splicing the power supply was helpful

My Electrolux Guardian vacuum kept shutting off after a few minutes of use and would then turn back on after the motor cooled off. I ordered a replacement motor and was able to swap it out. Works like a charm and I am so happy I was able to fix my 20 year old vacuum. They dont make things like they use to and this vacuum cost me a pretty penny when we bought it. I had to splice some wires together and didnt need the rubber spacer piece either. Take some photos before you start to make sure that you put everything back together properly. It's not hard to do but you need some basic skills to get the job done. Motor came FEDEX quick.

It fit perfectly and was easy to install. Some parts included with the original were not required with this replacement which made it even easier to install. Directions were provided that were clear and easy to understand. Works like new again.

The new motor works great. The original motor had a rubber bracket underneath it for support, and that part no longer fits and is not necessary (just so you know). Some sort of instructions or documentation would have been nice because the wires from my Electrolux Classic C151D connected to the original motor differently than the new motor and the wires are not the same colors (two blacks instead of a black and a white). When I eventually figured it out the vacuum fired right up, good as new.
