This is NOT the original Hoover Portapower hose as depicted. This is the "new and improved" version that is cheap plastic/rubber and only 2 feet long with the spring-type hose extending to to 5 1/2 feet on a good day before you start pulling the vacuum along with you. It still works, but MUCH inferior to the priginal 6 foot tough hose.
