How does it work?

The PulsFOG Turbo Hybrid’s high-performance turbine generates a strong, warm flow of air at a rate of up to 50 liters per second (about 105.9 cubic feet/minute). This atomizes the chosen biocide into a fine aerosol, which can then be propelled as a fog up to 75 feet away, depending on the size of the selected nozzle. Changing the nozzle will adjust the output’s droplet size and rate of flow.

Cold fog vs. thermal fog

The name “cold fogger” can be a little misleading if you haven’t used one before—it doesn’t mean the Turbo Hybrid uses freezing air or ice to kill microbes. Cold foggers are just the opposite of thermal foggers, which use high heat to vaporize the solution intended for spray, rather than turbine motors and air pressure. Cold fogging machines are also called ULV devices, which stands for ultra low volume.

Why should I use a cold fogger?

Cold foggers can be used anywhere (both indoors and outdoors) but are particularly excellent for indoor use, such as disinfecting or controlling odors in a large warehouse, industrial barn, or greenhouse. They do not operate at high temperatures, so they are safer for indoor spaces, requiring less constant attention to avoid fire risks.

They produce a very fine, barely visible mist that is unlikely to distract people working in and around the fogging site. The spray from a cold fogger also does not leave undesirable residues or cause the chosen solution to penetrate the ground.

In fact, cold foggers are perfect for applying biorational products—pesticides that are relatively non-toxic to humans and will have few environmental side effects. The customizable particle size of a cold fogger is also optimal for spraying different solutions designed to kill different types of bugs and microbes.
