This is perfect! The button in our Kenmore vacuum would not hold the two pieces together anymore it lost its spring. Although this is a different style (original was riveted), this was a perfect replacement. Managed to twist off most of the original with needle-nose pliers and this went in perfectly. Only probably was trying to figure out what it was called so I could search for it!
