Electrolux Standard Canister Vacuum Hose

IT WAS EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED

I am more than pleasantly surprised with the new hose I purchased for my old Electrolux vacuum. No more duct tape and great suction. Great price and quality. I only wish I knew I could buy a replacement so easily about 10 years ago.

I have an Electrolux Model G that I use at my summer cabin. It is a workhorse. Over the years, the Model G began losing suction because its fabric covered replacement hose (purchased in 2002) began to leak and clog frequently. The new standard Electrolux replacement hose purchased from eVacuumStore fits the Model G and my Model 30 (aka Model XXX) perfectly. I tested the new hose on both the Model G and the Model 30, and the suction increased dramatically on each machine. The Model G picked up junk (in this case, LARGE paint chips) which would have clogged the old hose. I am so impressed by the improvement that I just ordered another hose for my Model 30, which I use at home.

Actual part needed is cannister hose end AP series SN8190L, which is a rare item to find these days. For a temporary fix, I had to DIY adapt some 1-1/2 inch pvc pipe fittings, a threaded 2-way adaptor plus a plastic sink tailpiece and lock nut, duct tape, wire etc. to make it all fit without using glue. Eventually I am hoping to find this part discarded at the dump to use on these discontinued Electrolux models. The part is available in Canada but the tariffs make the shipping cost many times more than the cost of the part.
