The Airpura Air Purifier T600 DLX is a high power air purifier specially designed to eliminate odors and harmful chemicals left in the air by tobacco smoke. The easy care and maintenance of the Airpura make it a popular machine for home use. With the Airpura, there are no complicated maintenance cycles or settings and the filters only need replacing every six to 24 months, depending on smoke levels.

HEPA filtration

The Airpura Air Purifier utilizes hospital-grade filtration to trap even more particles. HEPA filtration is used in hospitals to create especially high air quality. HEPA filtration captures 99.7 percent of particles as small as .3 microns, returning only the cleanest possible air to the environment.

The Airpura utilizes a multi-step filtration process to get even cleaner air. Both a prefilter and a carbon filter precede the HEPA filter. These three filtration stages work together to eliminate even more odors and chemicals.

Heavy duty protection

The Airpura Air Purifier is built to handle heavy smoking environments. The Airpura can handle a range of the most harmful VOC’s and chemicals associated with tobacco smoke. Expertly designed carbon blends used during the filtration process can address specific chemicals.

Filter Maintenance and Replacement

To change filters, turn over the Airpura and remove the 4 retaining screws. Remove the cover and gasket, then position the prefilter into the filter chamber. Put a felt gasket at the bottom of the filter chamber and place the Hi-C filter around the HEPA filter. Attach the Hi-C filter with elastic bands.

Unfold the filter slider and roll it into a spiral. Insert the tube into the filter chamber and let the spiral open. Open up the top of the spiral to make a slight funnel shape, and insert the carbon canister into the funnel. Hold it straight and let it slide down into the filter slider. You can then pull the filter slider out using both hands and let the canister slide to the bottom of the chamber.

Remove the filter slider and fold it so you can use it later. Slide the HEPA filter into the filter chamber, and replace the gasket on the filter chamber. Position the indentation in the cover into the center of the HEPA filter and replace and tighten the four screws. Flip the Airpura back into its proper position.

The prefilter can be vacuumed from the exterior once a month or more often and should be replaced after 12 months of use at the maximum. To vacuum the prefilter, use the brush attachment on your vacuum cleaner and vacuum slowly around the mesh surface of the filter chamber.
