The Airpura F400 Formaldehyde VOC and Particle Air Purifier pairs enhanced activated carbon with H13 HEPA filtration to help reduce airborne chemicals, odors and fine particles. It is designed for spaces affected by emissions from household products, pressed wood, renovation and construction materials, and pesticides.
Enhanced Carbon for Chemical and Odor Concerns
The regular F400 configuration uses an 8-pound activated and enhanced carbon blend containing coconut-shell media and potassium permanganate. This blend targets formaldehyde and a broad range of VOCs, complementing the particle filtration provided by the HEPA filter.
The supplied performance information reports 99% formaldehyde removal, but does not include test conditions. This figure is not a guarantee of the same reduction in every room. Specially blended carbon options are available for specific chemical concerns; confirm the appropriate configuration before ordering.
HEPA Filtration and Room Coverage
The H13 HEPA filter captures 99.97% of airborne particles at 0.3 microns. A vacuumable poly prefilter provides an additional filtration stage, while 360-degree air distribution supports room circulation.
