Beam Central Vacuum Hose Handle

This was a great replacement for the original handle on my 25 year old vacuum hose. The only information I would add is that the handle does not come with the screws that hold the two halves together. You have to use the screws from the original handle. My old, broken handle had fallen apart to the point where I did not have all the original screws. A minor issue but worth knowing.

While this is the correct replacement handle for my 18- year old Beam central vac system, I agree that the construction is rather skimpy and subject to cracking when used vigorously (as my original did). It installed just fine and works as it should.

This looks like the handle I had on my Beam but it has terrible suction now. It doesn't pick up lint or even leave vacuum marks on the carpet. It seems like too much air gets out the sides. I would like to get my money back or exchange it for a different one.

Although I spoke with a rep about this part before I ordered it, it did not fit my system. I returned the part within a two days of receiving it.

Handle is like original, and that is a little bit of a problem. Needs to be stronger in the hand hold, so not to give (or break) when using power head.
