Damaged wire

Received switch and wire but one of the wires was damaged and missing some of the insulation was skinned off. It still works but I don't know how long it will last

I have a 20 plus year old hose and the switch went bad. I replaced it with this assembly, but it was not a direct fit. The wires were too short, but with my maintenance background it was easy for me to splice in extensions which I soldered and shrink wrapped to make it work. We now have a hose that works again!!!
