Bag fits my Beam fine. No problems installing it at all. Shipping was right on time.

The bag fits fine, I'm new to central vacuums and the Beam system. As the other comment notes, it was a pain to install. I had previous removed the old filter (basically destroying it by pulling the tab down (it promptly tore off) instead of in toward the center of the filter/unit). I had to cut the old filter to pieces to figure out how it worked. Probably the worst design I've ever seen for a vacuum filter. Getting the new filter aligned was more difficult than it should have been, but that's what happens with poor designs. To install, basically collapse the ring into a kidney bean shape and align it with the "groove" in the canister. It took a bit of fiddling around to get it aligned, but once in place it's fine. Filter looks to be just as good or better quality than the old filter I removed.

My Beam is at least 15 years old. The weight bag on the filter bag ruptured and sent little disks everywhere. This replacement bag is only about a third of the depth of the original; however, it seems to work well. It is a mother to install, so directions would have been nice. Overall, the price was good and it works in my Beam.
