About Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR)
Clean Air Delivery Rate is measured by three numbers: one for tobacco smoke, one for dust, and another for pollen. These numbers indicate the rate (in cubic feet per minute) at which these particles will be filtered out of the air in your space. The higher the machine's CADR numbers are, the more effective it is. To find out which one works for you, consider the size of the room where you're planning to use an air purifier. You will want a model with a CADR of at least two-thirds the size of that space.
