TheBroan 70 Pint Dehumidifier with horizontal or vertical discharge humidifier enables you to add it to areas that are tight-low clearance areas where moisture control is highly important. The MERV 13 filter that comes standard on this machine provides superior air filtration, providing fresh air with the proper humidity levels for small spaces.

A proprietary control from Broan can be used with the B70DHV: the DEH 3000, which monitors and controls the relative humidity levels in the area and ensures proper ventilation levels.

The B70DHV has a built-in dehumidistat control and you can wire a remote mounted control to the unit if the unit is located outside of where the humidity control is desired. If you’re using the built-in dehumidistat to control the unit, place the control in an area where it can accurately assess the humidity of the area where moisture control is desired.

If the B70DHV is located in the area where the humidity control is desired, you can simply use the built-in control with no need to purchase the DEH 3000. Adjust the humidity control so that the unit keeps the level of humidity you’re looking for.Note: The DEH 3000 is sold separately, and other thermostats are compatible with the B70DHV.

To prevent damage to the 24-volt control transformer, this machine comes with a resettable circuit breaker. Check the wiring for shorts and repairs before you reset the breaker. The reset button is on the back of the unit.

The control and B70DHV are labeled to prevent confusion. Depending on the control, some screw terminals may not be used. Consult the electrical schematic of the installation manual before making control connections.
