Central Vacuum Pipe Adapter Schedule 40

Perfect. No matter what you are told, there is no performance downgrade to using schedule 40 pipe, but there are some good advantages: larger diameter equals better flow and less clogging, it’s stronger and easier to find in local stores. It is a little heavier and harder to cut, but not by a lot. Also, schedule 20 and 40 are equally slick inside. Use what you want, but using 40 will not cause any performance issues in your system.

These adapters allow you to use regular 2" PVC pipe for the vacuum tube. This is cheaper and fittings are readily available. I use 2" PVC conduit long sweep elbows for clog free corners.
