Electrolux 1401 Golden J / Super J Cordwinder

This is a good generic replacement item. It does NOT have the same connections as the OEM unit. On my 1401 and 1205 there are NO connections on the plastic housing as in the images. The connections are on a terminal mounted to the side of the vacuum housing itself. It's impossible to get the wires on the terminals with the motor in place. If your unit has this type terminal mounting, the procedure should be to remove the motor, attach the wires then reinstall the motor and attach the wires to the cord winder housing. It also does not allow for the small vacuum hose that comes off the bag frame. Don't know what the purpose of that hose was but it's evidently not essential to operation.
