A pig tail hose is best used with standard inlet valves. In order to receive the additional 110 volts required to power electric attachments, the pig tail cord is plugged into a nearby outlet. If a home is set up for super valves, then the direct connect hose is the ideal option. This hose has the additional 110 volts integrated into it removing the need for any additional cords.
