If your switch buttons does not spring up and down like it used to, then its time for a new button. The switch button also includes a small spring built into the bottom side of the button. You may also want to inspect the other components under the switch, since pieces like the rocker arm or switch housing can can also be damaged.

Part worked perfect. My only negative is I ordered gray and got white but don't have time to go through a return process. Gray canister with white button is fine.
