Electrolux Epic 6500 Control Valve

My 6500SR kept telling me the bag was full. Took the bag out and it had hardly anything in it. Put the bag back in and the vacuum cleaner would work for a while and then the same thing. Found out here that it was either the filter on the exhaust or this valve. Changing the filter did not solve the issue but this valve did. The video was very helpful but it is harder than the service technician makes it look. I also purchased a new electrical cord rewind assembly and a new motor. I was going to purchase a new Miele but after refurbishing my 6500SR, I saved a lot of money keeping a good vacuum cleaner going.

Replacement took about 20 minutes and my problem was solved (full bag alert and shut-off with brand new bag.) Old vacuum works like new again.
