The wires inside the elbow typically break or the electrical contacts can become corroded, if this is the case then you will need to change the elbow assembly which is a easy repair.

Why is my Electrolux power nozzle cutting out?

An intermittent connection can come from a loose or worn elbow, broken wires inside it, or corroded or heat-damaged contacts. The hose handle, wands, and nozzle connections can also interrupt power. Unplug the vacuum and inspect the full electrical path before replacing a part.

Why does my Electrolux power nozzle not work?

Check that the nozzle is switched on and the vacuum is supplying power. With the vacuum unplugged, inspect the elbow and the electrical contacts at the hose, wands, and nozzle. If the motor runs but the brush does not spin, inspect the belt and brush roll instead. A failed nozzle motor or switch is another possibility.

I replaced my Electrolux elbow and the power nozzle still does not work. What should I check?

Check that the elbow is fully seated and its electrical connections were reassembled correctly. Inspect the wand and hose contacts for discoloration, looseness, or pitting.
