It is not really a good fit for EL6985, in that it is very tight and barely covers the hole where the original attachment snaps in. However, it does work reasonably well.

This attachment operates on what I'd call the old-school/upright method: Suction powers beater bristle brush, so how well it works depends on the surface you use it on. Caveat: operates by way of paddles in joint, so anything larger than a small **** will get trapped in the paddles and you'll need to manually remove item. Not as well-constructed or as flexible as the OEM attachment but does what it should though since it's 100% plastic life will probably be shorter. Used on bare wood floors with EL 4101-A.

The original was so strongI had to lower the power to do area rugs. Then I went and did something stupid and used it to pick up broken glass in my kitchen... I sure learned an important lesson. Turbo floor airbrush with belt should only be used on carpets. Now I doubt if lowering the power will be necessary. The suction was not nearly as high.

Much better than the original attachment that broke in 6 months. I was very disappointed in Electrolux.

Decided to get the generic floor tool because it was cheaper and happy I did. It fits the EL6985 and works great.
