**This filter is the HEPA filter for your vacuum and on most vacuums that use this filter it is installed on top of the vacuum, near the back, underneath the exhaust grill. The filter that belongs behind your vacuum bag is the motor filter, and is not interchangeable with this HEPA Filter. However, your vacuum requires that both filters be replaced periodically in order to run at the highest efficiency.
