Electrolux Power Nozzle Elbow PN5 & PN6

This nozzle elbow fits the PN6B power nozzle but has an offset in the inlet interface that does not match the symmetrical design of the original. Note that when installed with the wand latch in the same direction as the original part the offset permits the wand to move to an over-center vertical position, but also places undue stress on the elbow cover part when the wand is horizontal or resting on the floor. The offset can be installed reversed with the latch on the opposite side to eliminate the interference with the cover part with the wand at the horizontal limit, but that configuration will also not permit the wand to pivot to the full vertical position perpendicular to the nozzle head and leaves a small gap in the elbow suction path when the wand is horizontal. Nothing indicates the intended direction of installation of this part. It is assumed it is supposed to be installed with the latch lever on the switch side of the nozzle housing, like the original. Beware that the added offset makes the nozzle cover more vulnerable to breakage in this position when the wand is extended horizontally or the assembly is hung up for storage.

This part was exactly what I was looking for. The part was packaged well. Shipped promptly. The price was excellent. I was very pleased. My vacuum is a electrolux 2100 series still going strong from 1990s. Will be ordering other parts for it for backup.
