These little buggers don't look like much, but make all the difference in the type of experience you have moving the uprights from one place to another, and they break easily. As to installation, it's absolutely imperative that you get ALL of the old spring out of the channel. Once that's out the new spring should fit into the old slot, a few lite taps with a small rubber mallet will seat it. I always apply a light coating of vaseline on both clips before using them.
