Electrolux Switch Housing 32748

It was the right part at a good price . I was able to replace it , it is required that you remove the diaphragm and reinstall onto the new switch housing. I’m guessing a soldering gun would be of help. I simply drilled out the tops of the pins until it snapped off . I reinstalled it with a slight snap and some plastic glue. It is a little work to get it out and back together. Take plenty of pictures for yourself as a guide.

The switch housing does not include the vacuum diaphragm which is installed at the factory by melting the plastic studs to the diaphragm. They do not sell a new diaphragm so good luck trying to use the old one. In the end you will not have the full bag function working and just leave the small vacuum tubing disconnected. They should sell a new diaphragm!
