This is an original replacement part as far as I can tell. Ships in a clear plastic bag. The good thing is they’ve been sitting in a warehouse for a while and off gassed all that stinky plastic smell so you don’t have to deal with that. Great flexible hose and flexible rubber. The fake ones can have very stiff rubber, this one is nice and flexible. These typically fail at the connection to the hard plastic hose at the end. If you buy two of these you can daisy chain them like an extension so you can work a little more freely without straining the hose as much. Hopefully doing so allows you to own these longer without failure. You can repair old units ripping by out the hose and wire and cutting them flush and **** them back into the handle with some glue like ES6000. Glad to find a quality part on evacuumstore despite the design flaw of the hose I trust this is a real part and will be purchasing all future replacements from here. Another tip for these hoses I wonder if it helps to clean them somewhat regularly to remove all the grit so the hose doesn’t abrade and perhaps thin the plastic near the handle where they always fail. Definitely don’t vacuum up wet stuff and create crusty abrasive traps of grit in the hose grooves.
