Hence the name, the Miele B990E comes equipped with a rotary dial that allows the user to choose from 5 speed settings when ironing clothing. For complicated articles, such as blouses and button-down shirts, it's best to use a low roller speed (approx. 6.5 ft/min), and for single thickness items, such as handkerchiefs, it's best to iron at a high speed (approx 15 ft/min).
Better yet, the Miele B990E Rotary Iron allows you to choose from three heat settings with just a twist of a dial. For the coolest setting, align the arrow on the rotary dial with the first dot symbol. For a medium to hot iron, align the arrow on the rotary dial with the two dots. This temperature range is best for wool and silk materials. For the highest heat setting, the arrow on the rotary dial should align with the three dot symbol. This setting is best for cotton and linen fabrics. Overall, 104 - 140 degrees Fahrenheit is the temperature range of this unit.
