Riccar C708-0100 Cloth Dust Cup Filter

The rubber gasket surrounding this filter is much too thick. Once I carefully trimmed away the inside ridge that protrudes up on the inner part of the seal it fit but I was concerned it may break the plastic hinge area. The small holes necessary for the unit to properly close shut are not accessible with this filter seal edge. After using a #10 Xacto blade to remove an opening to accommodate the two small protrusions that fit into the filter edge the vacuum finally stayed c!osed. Once this filter was properly trimmed down it worked well. The fabric filter is not a wimpy material like many others, it is sturdy.
