Bissell vs Shark

Bissell vs Shark

You had a great time reading part 2. Now it's time for part 3! It's the ultimate showdown between Bissell and Shark. Which one has an edge? Well, you'll have to read on to find out.

It's no secret that Bissell and Shark have a great reputation. Both brands are equipped with edge cleaning technology and a cyclonic cleaning system. Both brands are bagless, are equipped with multi-level filtration and come equipped with a generous supply of on-board tools.

With so much in common, this is going to be a close race that’s going to be decided by specs.

Bagless Technology
Both brands utilize a bagless disposable system for dirt and debris. This allows you to evaluate the performance of your vacuum cleaner with each use, and you also save money on buying bags. So which manufacture has an edge? Well, it all comes down to dust bin capacity. A Shark vacuum easily has a larger bagless system with a dirt capacity ranging from 0.6 to 1.1 gallons. With a range of 0.11 to 0.52 gallons, a Bissell vacuum cleaner simply cannot compete.

Warranty Package
Both brands give users a generous warranty package. Shark gives customers a 5 year warranty on the repair and replacement of your vacuum should their be a defect in material or workmanship. On the other end, Bissell provides customers with a 2 to 3 year limited warranty depending on the model. While both packages are exceptional, everyone knows that when it comes to warranty the higher the number, the better.

Motor Amps
An ampere is a unit of measure that tells the user how much electricity is being used when you turn on a given appliance. Most Bissell’s have a draw of 12 motor amps while Shark vacuums have a draw of 10 motor amps. A higher draw does not make your vacuum more powerful than the next. It is simply a measure of how much electrical current is needed to power the vacuum motor. For those who are energy conscious, a Shark vacuum would be very appealing due to the lower amperage.

Price
Depending on the model, a Shark vacuum cleaner is slightly more than a Bissell. However, the extra $30 to $80 is well worth it when you consider the amazing features and unbeatable specifications. Even better, select Shark upright models are going to be on sale on Black Friday and Cyber Monday. During our promotion that runs between Sunday, November 22, 2015, and Saturday, December 5, 2016, you can purchase a top-of-the-line Shark vacuum for practically a steal.

So who is the winner?
