We've reviewed every canister from the Electrolux Ultra Collection, but we neglected to take stock of the Electrolux EL4103A ErgoSpace. In this review, we put this bagged cleaner through its paces on pile carpeting and bare floor surfaces.

Electrolux ErgoSpace 3-in-1 Crevice Tool

At birds-eye view, three words to describe the Electrolux ErgoSpace would be "lightweight", "compact"and "attractive". Lifting out of the box via the user-friendly carry handle, we guessed that this canister weighed slightly over 10 pounds. This is equivalent to the lowest weight you can lift when using a circuit trainer machine at the gym. When we examined the exterior from multiple angles, we concluded that the Electrolux ErgoSpace was compact as well--especially when we examined the underside of the canister. In all the vacuums we've reviewed, we have never come across one attachment that acts as a dusting brush, crevice tool, and upholstery tool. Peculiar at first, we realized that the secret to such a compact tool is in its design. Unlike 2-in-1 tools, the wings of the upholstery brush narrow to form a crevice tool capable of reaching tight spaces. This function also plays a role when it comes to storage. Opposite of where the 21 ft power cord is housed, you can find a small crevice that stores the Electrolux 3-in-1 crevice tool. This is a space-saving way of storing your attachments on-board.

Electrolux ErgoSpace Carry Handle

Keeping up with the compact nature of the Electrolux EL4103A ErgoSpace is the carry handle and rear parking station. Instead of creating a designated carry handle that takes up space, manufacturers constructed not one but two carry handles on the back and front of the canister. The former is molded into the design of the housing, and the latter is equipped with the suction control wheel, power button, and automatic cord rewind button on the ends of the handle. The rear parking station, as seen in other canister vacuums like the Electrolux EL7063B and Electrolux EL4040AZ JetMaxx, allows the Electrolux ErgoSpace Turbo Nozzle and Electrolux ErgoSpace Bare Floor Tool to append to the rear parking station via the docking clip found on the swivel neck of the nozzles. This makes for swift and easy storage when you're finished vacuuming.

Electrolux ErgoSpace Non-washable Filter

For hygienic cleaning, the Electrolux ErgoSpace is equipped with a 2 quart Electrolux S Bag that holds 15% more dirt and debris than standard bags. Working in conjunction with the bagged system is the Electrolux EL4103A Non-Washable HEPA Filter which removes 99.97% of dust and allergens from the air by forcing particles as tiny as 0.3 microns in size through a fine mesh fabric. Hence the name, this filter is non-washable and must be replaced every six months. For those who don't want to spend money buying filters, Electrolux has designed a washable version on sale for only $18.99!

Now that we've explained all the bells and whistles, it's time to let you in on what we thought of its performance. In a nutshell, we believe this vacuum would be a perfect fit for dorm rooms, apartments, and homes with low-pile carpeting and smooth flooring. Order yours today by purchasing online for only $299.99 or pick up the phone and dial 1-866-972-8227 to speak with a trained vacuum sales specialist.
