Owner's Manual |SEBO AIRBELT E3 Premium Canister

If you’ve got a SEBO E3 and would prefer not to sort through your owner’s manual for maintenance tips, you’ll enjoy this article. Here we’ll cover all the SEBO E3 maintenance tips you’ll need to know to keep your SEBO E3 running smoothly for years to come.
Vacuum Maintenance
Before you perform any kind of maintenance on your SEBO E3, always unplug the vacuum from the outlet first! Failure to do so will result in electric shock.
Changing the Filter Bag
To change your filter, lift the release catch (indicated by a triangle, or arrow up) and open up the filter bag cover. Seal the used bag shut by closing the sealing cap downward. Tilt the sealing plate collar up, then lift the bag out of the filter bag holder.
Slide the front of the sealing plate collar of a new bag vertically into the holder. Line it up so that the U-shaped metal spring of the bag is positioned in the slot of the collar. Tilt it back into place, closing the cover so it snaps shut completely. If the filter bag is installed incorrectly, the cover will not shut.
Do not reuse filter bags. The contents of the bag will determine when they need to be changed. For example, fine dust usually needs to be changed sooner, even if the bag is not full. Fluff/hair tends to be overfull before the bag indicator light turns orange, due to the fact that air passes through them so easily.
The “bag full or clog” light only works properly at full power. When the power is low, it could give you an inaccurate reading, which is why you should check the status at full power.
Changing the Pre-Motor Filter
The pre-motor filter should be changed whenever it becomes overly clogged with dust or dirt, or after 10-20 filter bags have been used on the vacuum. To do this, lift the release catch and open the filter bag cover to remove the filter bag. Hold the tab at the base of the filter and pull it out and upward. Once the filter is horizontal, lift it out of the holder.
To install a new pre-motor filter, insert it horizontally into the motor and swing it downward until the tab locks into place. Install a new filter bag and filter bag cover.
Changing the Exhaust Microfilter
Once 10-20 bags have been used, you’ll need to change the exhaust microfilter. To remove it, press the filter release buttons together and lift the filter cover off. Take the material part of the microfilter out of the vacuum. Press the red latches on both sides of the filter inward, then remove the filter.
Put the opening of the new filter over the exhaust opening with the red tab on the bottom. Once it’s lined up, push the red latches down and click it shut to hold the filter in place. Tuck the material inside of the opening, and insert the cover by fitting the tabs on the top side of the cover into the grooves in the vacuum housing. Push the cover close, ensuring that it completely snaps shut.
Note: Never use the vacuum with improperly installed filters or without all necessary components (filters, bag, AIRBELT or filter bag housing cover). Do not wash and reuse filters.
Changing the AIRBELT
The E-Series vacuum uses the patented AIRBELT shock absorber system to protect your walls and furniture from exhaust air. This system includes a foam bumper and AIRBELT fabric cover. If the AIRBELT cover is damaged, it needs to be replaced
To remove the AIRBELT, remove the upholstery tool from the back of the machine, and lever out the nozzle holder by using a slot-head screwdriver. The system can be pried out of the recess with a screwdriver and removed if you slide the assembly toward the front of the machine (use care as you do this). Take the damaged cloth cover from the foam bumper.
Put a new cloth cover over the foam bumper by putting the side rails of the cover into the grooves of the bumper. The upper side rail has a mark on it to indicate that it’s the upper part. Insert it into the groove marked “TOP.” Start from that end and continue fitting the cloth into the grooves of the bumper. Fit the bumper to the front of the machine, and then press it in around the sides and toward the back.
Put the upholstery nozzle holder back under the parking groove and tilt it to lock it in. Finally, return the upholstery tool back to its original position.
