Disaster preparedness

The Airpura I600+ Air Purifier is equipped to handle optional negative air accessories. This allows the air purifier to double as an emergency containment area. With additional ducting attachments, the Airpura+ can filter exhausted air outside of a containment area, creating a vacuum effect that limits the spread of contaminants to other areas.

Triple filtration

The Airpura I600+ sends air through three layers of filtration before replacing it back into the environment. Each of these layers is well-designed to handle a different airborne issue so that air gets a complete and efficient treatment.

Prefilter

An initial prefilter layer takes care of larger air contaminants to preserve the life of the interior filters. The prefilter can be vacuumed to keep it clean and generally needs replaced once every year, depending on usage.

Carbon filter

A filtration layer composed of carbon weaves can fights odors and captures additional contaminants. The carbon weave is optional and the machine will still run without it.

HEPA filter

Heavy duty HEPA filtration captures over 99 percent of particles as small as .3 microns in size. The HEPA filter lasts up to 5 years before needing to be replaced.

The HEPA filter is made of over 100 feet of rolled HEPA surface. The HEPA is warm rolled to prevent cracks, folds and air leakage, providing a tight, clean seal. Spacers hold the folds open at the proper angle to ensure that every square inch of the HEPA filter is actively filtering the air.

Optional UV lamp

A germicidal UV lamp can be inserted into the Airpura I600, adding an extra layer of sanitation. The UV lamp sterilizes airborne particles using UV rays. The lamp is secured inside the machine so room occupants are not exposed to any ultraviolet rays.
