Particle filtration

The Airpura P614 employs high-grade particle filtration in three stages.

1. Pre filters

First, a set of pre filters that capture large particles. These pre filters can be routinely cleaned to keep your machine functioning like new.

2. Carbon filter

An activated carbon filter eliminates chemicals and unwanted odors. The carbon filter lasts up to two years.

3. HEPA filter

Finally, a HEPA filter captures the finer particles from the air. HEPA filtration captures over 99 percent of particles as small as .3 microns in size. The HEPA filter lasts up to five years.

Microorganism abatement

The Airpura also sterilizes air using a process called photocatalytic oxidation. This process is the most elegant way to neutralize chemicals and VOC’s in the air. After being filtered, all air is passed over a special reflector ray where it is irradiated with UV rays from a germicidal lamp.
