Electrolux Model AE, AF & G Hose With 2 Cords

The electric prongs do not fit securely into the plug on the Model G cannister vacuum. I solved the problem by removing the electric line on my vacuum's broken hose and installing it on the new hose. The new plug simply did not stay plugged into the cannister and unlike another reviewer with the same issue, I was reluctant to attempt to modify the pronged insert. In hindsight, I would probably take my vacuum to a repair shop for a new hose & let them deal with the plug problem rather than suffering the aggravation of trying to resolve the problem myself.

Perfect fit

On our Model G the electrical connection from this hose to the cleaner was too large. However I was able to remove some material slimming it a bit, and now plug fits connection and hose works perfectly. Hope it holds up.

This is a great heavy duty cored hose. One small is is that the near the handle where the the metal nozzle meets the plastic part of the hose there is a little whistling sound that occurs while I am vacuuming . It's like the seal is not tight enough.
