Green vacuums go through a rigorous set of tests to become CRI approved and labeled with a green seal of approval. Each backpack vacuum needs to eliminate a high percentage of common and not so common air particulates that cling to carpet fibers and other surfaces. The vacuums also need to seal in said particulates to meet stringent filtration standards. Each vacuum tests in an independent lab to confirm the removal and containment abilities of the units. The final test measures the appearance of the test surface before and after.
A noticeable difference must appear when the test ends to for a vacuum to pass. At the end of the test, a vacuum receives a gold, silver, or bronze status. Each unit meets the CRI approval rating to present itself as a Green vacuum which means the user enjoys the power and performance of a superior machine while aiding the environment and eco-system through simple cleaning.
