Back in the day I used walmart vacuums resulting in new purchases on a YEARLY basis until discovered we had sew/vac store in our small rural town that sold "RICCAR" what a game changer got the 500 model, and it was only 10 amp. It ALWAYS did the job removing dog hair from carpet. Had that riccar many many many years until recently it got a problem and local sew vac shop had closed leaving nearest service provider a 2 1/2 hr drive away. Thus, like an idiot i tried a bagless walmart "PET" vacuum, i prefer bagged and of course a riccar.(And is it not interesting how many products since covid have begun using the word "PET or DOG" to sell their products!!) Well FIRST use of that vaccum it seized stopped working. I have uneven carpeted floors in my small abode. Thus, I decided it was indeed worth the money to once again get a RICCAR even if there was no longer any near by service provider. However, I did decide it was not worth the extra money to get the Riccar R25"P" for the PET one to just have a pet attachment and a longer warranty of 5 yrs vrs 3. This Riccar R25"D" GETS THE JOB DONE picking up dog hair from 2 shedding ranch dogs on carpet, AUTOMATICALLY ADJUSTS to DIFFERENT flooring levels that is a blessing as i have uneven carpet flooring heights, have brick pavers and some linoleum. It is a breeze to push, great cord length and the metal extension thing has good length. Only dislike is the very small upholstry brush attachment and the bags seem to be small. Other than that am so glad i spent the money of $600 to remain with a riccar and hope the brand will continue to live up to the longivity that i experienced with my last riccar!! Also, I beleive the "deluxe" does just fine picking up dog hair from 2 shedding ranch dogs vrs their more costly R25"P" pet version for more money.

I just received my vacuum and couldn't wait to give it a try. Was NOT disappointed. Loved the ease of switching from bare floor to carpet as well as the quick access to the flex hose with attachments. I could quickly get into those corners and crevices instead of having to crawl around on my hands and knees after vacuuming. Also loved use the dusting tool- this actually gets rid of the dust instead of releasing it into your home. I personally like having a bag. I tried a bagless vacuum and found it disgusting to empty the canister full of hair and dust as well as having to clean filthy filters. The Riccar solves this issue with HEPPA filtration bags and filters that are easily replaced. LOVE this vacuum, it's worth every penny!

This product is excellent for all carpets and bre floors. My last Riccar lasted for 18yrs.
