The NuTone PP5501 excels primarily in the area of sound control. This model has been designed to have the lowest decibel rating of all the NuTone central vacuum models with no muffler required. The compromise for this is the PP5501's cleaning capacity of only 4,000 square feet. For smaller homes this central vacuum is a solid choice.

If you need something a little more powerful you may want to look into the Nutone PP6501 with an upgraded cleaning capacity of 7,000 square feet and HEPA filtration. If even more power is required you can go with the Nutone PP7001 which boasts a cleaning capacity of up to 10,000 square feet and comes with HEPA 2.0 filtration.
