Shark Vacuum Brushrolls

Shark replacement brushrolls restore pickup on carpet and hard floors when the original roll is worn, tangled or no longer spinning. This collection includes DuoClean soft and bristle brushrolls, All-Surface brushrolls, Navigator brushroll assemblies (NV353, NV365E, NV70), the Rotator NV501 brushroll, cordless and Infinity brushrolls, and the 1200FT961 brushroll cover.

How to choose the right Shark brushroll

  1. Find your vacuum's model number on the rating label, usually on the back or bottom of the vacuum.
  2. Match it to the model or part number in the product title. If you can read the part number stamped on your old brushroll (for example 1147FT800 or 400FFJH380), match that instead.
  3. For DuoClean vacuums, check whether you need the soft front roller, the bristle brushroll or both. The RB37/RB36 set includes one of each.

Frequently asked questions

How do I know if my Shark brushroll needs replacing?

Replace it when the bristles are worn flat or missing, the soft roller is torn or matted, the roll wobbles or squeals, or the vacuum leaves debris behind after you've removed tangled hair. A brushroll that still won't spin after cleaning may also have worn end caps or bearings.

Why isn't my Shark brushroll spinning?

Check these first: hair or string wrapped around the roll, a blockage in the nozzle, or the brushroll being switched off for hard floors. On belt-driven models, a stretched or broken belt is a common cause. If the roll is clean and free but still won't turn, the brushroll or powered nozzle may need replacing.

What's the difference between a DuoClean soft roller and a bristle brushroll?

Shark DuoClean vacuums use two rollers. The soft front roller picks up large debris and fine dust on hard floors, and the bristle brushroll agitates carpet. They are replaced separately, so match the part number for the roller you need.

Can I just clean my brushroll instead of replacing it?

Often, yes. Remove the roll, cut away wrapped hair and clear the end caps. If it's still worn or damaged after cleaning, replace it.
