Order a new switch or harness for your Beam central vacuum unit or central vacuum hose handle. Switch wiring can be a bit tricky, so make sure you are ordering a compatible part before placing an order. Give us a call for assistance.
I haven't had to change the bag in my vacuum yet, but it appears to be easy enough and I like the fact that the hose end to the vacuum unit does not have to be removed in order to change the bag. This is another reason why I don't like the ProLux Terra Vacuum, very hard to replace the bag.
